Job Description

Role: Marketing Assistant

Location: Whiteley, Fareham

Salary: £27,000-£30,000 per annum

Hours: Monday- Friday 9:00am - 5.30pm (Hybrid Working)

The task at hand: As a Marketing Assistant you will be responsible for amplifying the brand’s presence, driving engagement and aiding sales efforts by assisting in the execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring seamless co-ordination across multiple marketing channels.

This role serves as a critical bridge between strategising and execution, ensuring the company's marketing initiatives resonate with its B2B audience and align with Onecom's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \nSocial Media Engagement: Plan and monitor the ongoing company presence on social media (Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube).
  • \n
  • \nContent Creation: Copywriting and content creation for newsletters, social media posts, blogs, and other marketing materials.
  • \n
  • \nMarketing Campaign Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of various marketing campaigns. You will be involved in brainstorming ideas, contributing to strategies, and helping to implement initiatives that drive brand awareness and sales.

  • \nMarket Research: Provide insight into online marketing and industry trends, competitor activity to keep strategies up to date.

  • \nData Management: Manage data for email sends and lead generation activities in accordance with GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance.

  • \nEvents & Sponsorships: Supporting the marketing team with the administration, planning and execution of events and corporate hospitality. You will be responsible for managing the administration and logistics for corporate sponsorship

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have a UK driver’s license and access to a car.
  • \n
  • Broad understanding of and experience in marketing communications is essential.
  • \n
  • Good project management/organisational skills.
  • \n
  • Able to plan and effectively prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
  • \n
  • Broad understanding of and experience in marketing communications is essential.
  • \n
  • Ability to use spreadsheets and analytics platforms to analyse data, spot trends and report on performance.
  • \n
  • Creative skills for contributing new ideas.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of existing and new social media platforms.
  • \n
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of both the Marketing team and organisation’s objectives.
