Job Title: Marketing Specialist
Hours of Work: 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break
Location: Lopen Head Business Park

About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and Marketing Specialist to lead our marketing efforts and manage our digital platforms for both MHE and Access & Security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our websites, managing brand campaigns, creating and optimizing content, and developing e-commerce opportunities. The Marketing Specialist will also play a crucial role in developing our brand voice, building relationships with industry editors, and supporting various digital marketing initiatives to enhance brand discovery and performance.
Responsibilities On a day-to-day basis you will (this list is not exhaustive):
Website and Digital Platform Management: Manage, maintain, and optimize Altegra websites and digital platforms.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-profile digital products and services, including website development, innovation strategies, integrations, and CRM systems.

Campaign and Content Management: Manage brand campaigns using Insight data or existing customer base through a CRM.
Track, measure, improve, and report the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
Support e-commerce product opportunities.
Create content and optimize the path to conversion.
Manage site content, blog articles, social media, video content, and email content.

Brand Development: Build editorial calendars and organize workflows.
Produce and distribute editorial and press releases to industry-specific magazines and blogs.

Event and Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with industry editors.

Email and Communication Management: Undertake email communications for Altegra using platforms like Mailchimp, including management of timetables, content, and collation.
Manage media, marketing, and communications content in line with the annual operating plan (AOP).

Social Media and Content Strategy: Working with the team to implement social media strategies to maximize profiles and improve brand discovery.
Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.
Identify content opportunities in each sector and produce relevant materials (news items, thought leadership, podcasts, blogs, infographics, etc.) for dissemination across digital channels.

Industry Engagement: Attend trade and industry functions as required.
Work alongside external agencies to support and optimize capabilities such as SEO, SEM, and social media optimization.

Candidate Requirements
Degree / Marketing experience, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience in digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management.
In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and social media optimization techniques.
Proficiency with CRM systems and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp.
Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, juggling multiple projects.
Flexibility and adaptability, with experience in fast-paced environments
Creative thinker with a strong eye for detail and the ability to present ideas effectively.
