Material Controller Team Leader - Newton Aycliffe - £51,000
The Company
Due to an expanding order book, a global rail leader of turnkey solutions, rail transportation and technology within the Rolling Stock sector, has an essential requirement for an influx of Material Controllers to join the team, including a new Team Leader.
You will be involved with one of the industry’s most exciting live project, allowing you to have large scale impacts. The role will be very well varied and require close collaboration, but ultimately , your involvement will be the backbone and the foundations to a timely delivery of a £500m project!
The Role
The Section Leader will be looking after the Planning functions within Materials Control. This will include managing a team of c.6 Materials Controllers, aiming to ultimately get the most out of the team on a day-to-day basis, and hit the 100%OTIF targets. Heavily involved in one of the industry’s largest new trains build projects, the team will have robust plans and forecasts to work with.
We need a strong communicator and proactive pair of hands to ensure the team are always on it in what can a fact paced environment. The volume of work and importance of accurate Materials Controlling only increases as the project develops, so a reliable and team manager is required to lead the team to success.
