Material Controller/Planner

Temporary Contract (6 months with possible extension)

Portsmouth Area (Office Based)

c.�35,000 - �40,000 pro rata

Grafton Recruitment are recruiting for a temporary Materials Controller role for a large engineering manufacturer in the Portsmouth area.

This role offers the opportunity to join a large organisation and gain leading edge material control skills from a large sophisticated organisation.

You will be responsible for:

• Planning demand requirements for the site through ERP systems
• Expediting product with suppliers
• Tracking and analysing supplier performance
• Identifying opportunities for supplier improvement
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for reducing inventory holding
• Managing volumes for new product introductions and phasing out end of life product

Requirements:

• Existing experience of material contral and planning, and expediting product
• Experience of working with ERP systems, ideally SAP
• Analytical, attention to detail, improvement focused, highly numerate
