Job Overview:

As a Materials Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of materials used in construction projects. You will be responsible for testing and analyzing various materials such as soil, concrete, and asphalt, ensuring they meet industry standards and specifications. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Perform testing on construction materials including soil, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with established standards and procedures.

  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring compliance with relevant industry codes and specifications.

  • Prepare detailed test reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.

  • Collaborate with project teams to provide feedback and recommendations based on testing outcomes.

  • Assist with the preparation of material samples for testing and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.

  • Participate in continuous professional development and training as required.



Qualifications & Skills:




  • A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Previous experience in a materials testing role, particularly with soil, concrete, and asphalt, is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and methods, including compaction, slump, and compression tests.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a construction environment.
