Maths & Science Tutors year 7 to 13 - With Examiner Experience

Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and passionate CRB/DBS cleared Tutors for Year 7 - 13 who are or have been examiners to join our team. The Tutors will be responsible for providing online tutoring in a 1:6 ratio, offering academic support to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students achieve their educational goals.Our Founder has stepped away from a successful career spanning 20 years, including founding and exiting a bootstrapped business, to create this EdTech venture. This wealth of experience and deep commitment to transforming education drives our mission.Duties:Be passionate about addressing each student's individual needs.Demonstrate mastery in your subject and proficiency in navigating online tutoring systems.Be available on weekdays from 5:00 PM onwards (hours varying by year group) and on weekends ( hours varying by year group.)Go above and beyond to support the students, making this second nature.Meet with parents every term to provide insight into their child's progress.Double-check content and summaries to ensure accurate AI-generated notes from tutoring sessions.Develop customized plans and teaching strategies based on students' needs.Utilize creative and engaging teaching methods to enhance student learning.Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.Stay updated on educational best practices and resources to enhance tutoring sessions.Requirements:Proven experience in tutoring or teaching and current or previous experience as an examiner.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.Ability to educate and motivate students towards academic success.Knowledge of various teaching methods and learning styles.Strong integrity and ethical values are a must. If you have been part of EdTech and are obsessed with education, we want to hear from you too.Compensation:Hourly rate with availability required on a daily/weekly basis for a minimum of 3-6 months.As a startup, we are raising Pre-Seed funds from Angel Investors/VCs starting in November. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus shares in the company.If Pre-Seed funding is secured, your hours will significantly increase, potentially leading to permanent employment. Please indicate your interest in this possibility.Hourly rate will vary depending on the number of students booked for group tutoring sessions, maintaining a 1 tutor to 6 students ratio.Important Information:Our technology platform with AI will be ready in August, with marketing kicking off immediately after.Tutoring sessions will start in the third week of September, so availability is an absolute must to ensure uninterrupted learning for the children. The children are our absolute priority.We will grow from online tutoring in the first year to face-to-face centers across the UK by the end of year two, including all subjects and entrance exams.Our vision and strategy are extremely focused.
