Do you have a solid understanding of mathematics, with the ability to make abstract concepts accessible and engaging?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Mathematics Teacher to work with KS3 and KS4 students in and around Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool, Lancaster, and Wigan. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in student's lives while receiving a competitive daily pay rate, reflective of your qualifications and experience.

In this role, you will deliver engaging and interactive lessons that help students develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts. You will also foster critical thinking, enhance problem-solving skills, and instil a passion for mathematics, while providing the necessary support to help all students achieve their potential.

Responsibilities:


  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal Attributes:


  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
