Vetro Education are seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to work in a secondary school in the Newport Local Education Authority. The ideal Teacher will have a proven track record of teaching Mathematics to learners in both Key Stage 3 and 4.. The school has tasked Vetro to find a Mathematics Teacher, who can hit the ground running and become a part of the Mathematics department from the off.
The role itself is for 2 - 5 days per week (depending on the successful applicant), teaching Year 7, 8 and 9, as well as GCSE classes. This role is set to start in September 2024, and set to run until the end of Autumn term in the first instance.

Pay: £157.66 per day minimum
Location: Newport
Hours: Full or Part time, Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a Mathematics Teacher
Lead a classroom of learners - Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Preparing the classroom for lessons and plan schemes of work where required
Deliver lessons in line with national curriculum
Engage learners with both classroom and lab-based activities
Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies
The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Mathematics Teacher
At least 1 year Mathematics teaching experience (exceptions made for NQTs)
Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
