Are you a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer that likes 12 hour shoft patterns? If so, this could be for you. In this role you’ll be working a pattern based on 6-6 days and nights and won't work more than 3 days in a row.
You’ll be carrying out planned and preventative maintenance of all equipment in a busy manufacturing facility. You’ll primarily be working on mechanical equipment such as hydraulics and pneumatics but as a multi skilled engineer you’ll also get involved in some electrical and PLC work when required.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Carry out fault finding, repair and maintenance work on plant and equipment
- Check and ensure we have a safe working environment
- Use Agility (CMMS) for workload and fault reporting.
- Carry out all planned preventative maintenance
- Assist with the installation of new plant equipment.
- Attend regular training
- Promote Lean Thinking
- Maintain and order stock/spares/materials
About You
You will be an experienced mechanically biased multi skilled maintenance engineer, with experience working in a production environment. You’ll have high standards for health & safety and a passion for continuous improvement.
You will also have/be:
- Apprentice-trained in a mechanical discipline
- Strong knowledge of maintenance experience and diagnostics of hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical control systems
- NVQ 3 or equivalent
- IT skills – working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisation skills
- Awareness of IOSH is desirable but not essential
