We have partnered with an Established Mechanical and Electrical Contractor from Bristol, to help with their search for a Mechanical Project/Contracts Manager.



The Contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project/Contracts Manager to oversee and mange all the mechanical contracts from conception to completion. The role will include planning, budgeting, coordinating with clients and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Ideally, you will need to have experience in a contract & project management as well has having good leadership and communication skills.





Below are the key responsibilities of what will be expected day in and day out:




  • Manage multiple mechanical contracts concurrently, ensuring all project objectives and deliverables are met.

  • Develop comprehensive contract management plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, and monitor project progress against these plans.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Oversee the work of mechanical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks and issues, developing and implementing contingency plans as needed.

  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide detailed updates to senior management and clients.

  • Ensure adherence to local, national, and industry-specific regulations and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.

  • Manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial objectives are met.

  • Promote a positive team environment, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project staff.





In order to be a suitable candidate, you will need to have the below qualifications;




  • Degree in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related.

  • A minimum of 3-5 year’s experience in Mechanical Contracts Management or a related role.

  • Good Communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Proven Track Record of successfully managing mechanical contracts from initiation to completion.
