Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar with a background in Heavy Industry looking to join an established company working as part of a closeknit team on a variety of projects for major companies in the rail industry while receiving product specific training and a host of company benefits including an early finish on Friday and profit share bonus?
On offer is the opportunity to join an established company who have been in operation for over 50 years working for the rail industry designing and manufacturing a range of equipment. They are looking to grow their team out and diversify their portfolio of products and are in need of a new Mechanical Design Engineer to help facilitate that.
This role will involve taking on a project from initial conceptualisation through to manufacturing, liaising with clients to understand their requirements for new or altered equipment, internal teams to ensure feasibility of projects and external sub-contractors. The main responsibility will be the design work of new products or alteration of past designs.
This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar with a background in Heavy Industry design looking to join an established company who are looking to branch out and grow their portfolio as a company and can provide specific training and a range of company benefits such as Healthcare, extra holiday days for long service and a company bonus.
The Role

• Design of new products using SolidWorks
• Alteration of existing products
• Lising with clients to understand needs
• Management of projects from beginning to end
• Creation of BOMs and other documents

The Person

• Mechanical Design Engineer or similar
• Heavy Industries Background
• Background in SolidWorks / AutoCAD or similar
• Commutable to Sheffield
