We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with London Underground (LU) experience to join an established client on a contract basis working on station upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing mechanical designs for station upgrades within the London Underground network
  • Conducting feasibility studies and technical analyses to support design decisions
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements are met
  • Producing detailed engineering drawings and documentation
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • Participating in site visits and inspections as necessary
  • Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on industry trends and technologies
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within the rail sector
  • Proven ability to develop mechanical designs for station upgrades
  • Knowledge of London Underground standards and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
