Mechanical Design Engineer Full-Time, Permanent
Hourly Rate - Circa � 50,000 DOE
Location - In office, Westbury
We're excited to be supporting a specialist in the design and manufacture of well-intervention instrumentation, serving the Oil & Gas, Geothermal, and Transition Energy sectors. They're constantly driving innovation specialising in the development of sensor technologies, high-powered electro -mechanical devices, high-pressure and temperature applications used in well monitoring and intervention.
There are now seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team of design specialists. You'll be working as part of a small team in a dynamic environment within a growing business who have established a global client base.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to

• Responsible for all aspects of mechanical design work
• Take part in the development and improvement of R&D
• Plan and conduct projects to defined milestones as well as cost targets
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of customer needs via ongoing communication
• Develop cost effective design solutions to the customer's technical and commercial requirements
• Ensure that attention to detail, rectification of design error, and cost control, are at the centre of your design work

Experiences required

• Competent SolidWorks designer
• BA degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• Able to produce complex machine parts
• Creation of detailed technical drawing packs for production
• Experience in theoretical analysis and mathematical modelling
• 3+ years in engineering design environment
