Our client are a leading manufacturer of precision parts for the aerospace industry. They are looking to add an experienced Mechanically biased Design Engineer to their team on a permanent basis. Mechanical Design Engineer

• The role will be responsible for the design of forgings, tools and dies to meet customer requirements
• Design and manufacture of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to prestigious blue-chip customers.

• This will involve the production of all necessary drawings and documentation to support, as well as the recommendation and implementation of any system modifications.
• �The role is also responsible for compiling working manuals and records to allow forging operations to be effectively carried out.
  

Knowledge & Experience

• Candidates should have an Engineering Degree, preferably in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 4 years relevant experience gained within an engineering business.
• Candidates should have prior experience within a design role, strong knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Creo)
• you must have strong IT skills, to include Mini Tab and preferably Power BI.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with metals and basic metallurgy knowledge would be advantageous
