gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work at their facility based near Burton-on-Trent.

Performance Objectives

• Design and develop HVAC systems for industrial and commercial premises.
• Design calculations including duct sizing, equipment, pipework etc.
• Technical support for the project team.
• Assist the estimating team by sourcing quotations from suppliers and vetting quotations for compliance with employer's requirement, specifications, and standards etc.
• Stay up to date with the latest regulations and standards and merging technologies.
• Review design and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Co-ordinate with clients, architects, and project teams.

Person Specification

• HND in Mechanical Engineering or building services.
• Proficient using CAD/Revit
• Proficient using HVAC software.
• Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of regulations and building codes.
• Problem Solving.
• Analytical thinking.
• Communication
• Collaborative working
• Professional membership would be advantageous.
