Are you a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for innovative design and engineering excellence? Our company, a premier OEM specializing in special purpose machinery for the food and packaging industry, is looking for a dynamic individual to join our engineering team.

Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing mechanical production machinery valued at an average of £50,000 per project. These projects typically span 2 to 8 weeks, offering a variety of challenges and the chance to work on bespoke machinery solutions that are critical to our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of special purpose machinery for food & packaging industries using SolidWorks
• Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and project managers
• Ensure designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and are cost-effective
• Oversee the development process from concept to completion
• Support manufacturing teams with design-related queries

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2-3 years of design experience in a relevant industry
• Proficient in SolidWorks for mechanical design and modeling
• Experience working on capital equipment projects is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and efficiency
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
