Our client is a leading consultancy in the automotive world. Working on a variety of projects, they specialize in robotic and automated tooling solutions for manufacturing. At present, they are looking to build and develop an in-house design team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• 3D and 2D Design Tooling design for an automated/ robotic system
• Designing Jigs, fixtures and end effectors
• Developing robot cell layouts
• Process planning- process sequence generation and function plans
• Developing pneumatic schemes
• Creating BOMs
• Liaising with outsourced designers
• cclient and customer interaction
• Design presentations and meetings
• Concept design for bid proposals

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• 10 years experience in mechanical design
• Experience designing tools, jigs and fuixtures for automated processes
• Knowledge with processes such as spot welding, MIG welding, bonding, and riveting
