As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your purpose will be to develop new concepts and customise existing products to meet customer and regulatory requirements. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll ensure that designs are airworthy, cost-effective and optimised for manufacturing.

• Designing and developing components and systems for aerospace applications

• Producing 3D models and technical drawings to strict regulatory standards
• Ensuring all designs are suitable for manufacturing and airworthiness
• Supporting production by troubleshooting build issues
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design and engineering processes

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your skills and experience will include:

• Experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of composite and metallic materials and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software (training provided)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• A degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in mechanical or aerospace engineering
