Salary: up to £40,000 (Negotiable dependant on experience)

A world leading manufacturing and development company who supply specialist equipment to the MOD, Military and Defence sectors are currently expanding their team.
Job Profile:
This innovative organisation is seeking a versatile and adaptable Mechanical Design Engineer. Candidates must be UK nationals and will undergo security vetting.
Duties:
    \n
  • Compile, monitor, and update project plans and status reports
  • \n
  • Manage project engineering and procurement files
  • \n
  • Provide technical and administrative support for projects
  • \n
  • Support the release and modification of drawings and parts lists
  • \n
  • Offer technical assistance during procurement, build, and test phases of projects
  • \n
  • Generate project procurement lists and handle RFQs and purchase orders
  • \n
  • Monitor and expedite the project procurement process
  • \n
  • Handle project deliveries, goods inward approval, and assignment to relevant projects
  • \n
  • Perform other project-related duties as requested by senior management
  • \n
Skills & Attributes:
    \n
  • Qualified to SVQ/NVQ level 5, ONC/HNC (Minimum Level 4), or City & Guilds T4 or T6 in Mechanical Engineering or EITB Approved Apprenticeship or similar
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and analytical application
  • \n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
  • \n
  • Knowledge of Solidworks and solid modelling is advantageous
  • \n
  • Flexible, adaptable, well-organized, and a team player
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and practical concepts
  • \n
Hours of Work:
    \n
  • 39.5 hours per week
  • \n
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 – 16:00
  • \n
  • Friday: 7:30 – 13:00
  • \n
