We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join a market leader in their respective industry. The position will appeal to a strong Mechanical Design Engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company. With lots of opportunties for progression in the future.

The successful candidate will combine artistic and engineering skills to develop innovative functional products - being active across, Product Design - CAD, Prototyping & Mass production.

Duties and Responsibilities:
\n
\n- Develop your ideas from concept to production
\n- Design for efficient manufacturability, aesthetics and functionality
\n- Design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA)
\n- Process failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA)
\n- Maintain accurate records of all design changes
\n- Liaise with customers to identify requirements
\n- Write technical reports to summarise findings, at all stages of the design process
\n- Construct bills of materials (BOM)
\n- Costing of products/designs/projects
\n- Ensuring adherence to all customer specifications, company quality requirements, legislation and good engineering best practice.
\n- Ensure design solutions are user and environmentally friendly
\n- Coordinate product testing in accordance with relevant standards and protocols
\n- Stay up to date with advancements in materials and processes
\n
\n
Key Skills
\n
\n- Minimum 2:1 in engineering degree with strong design contract
\n- Proficiency with CAD software (Solidworks)
\n- Product Design or Industrial Design experience gained within industry
\n- Practical, with the ability to create models and prototypes
\n- Be organised, self-motivated, pro-active and the ability to multi-task
\n- An effective team worker
\n- Valid UK Driving Licence (Essential)
