Job Description
Our client are an established M&E Contractor who work on largescale projects across the North West.
Due to an increase in workload they are now looking for a Mechanical Design Manager to join their company!

Ideal candidate-
The role would suit an ex Mechanical Engineer who is interested in working for a Contractor getting more involved on the day to day challenges working on a site. Equally the role is suitable for a Mechanical Site Manager who feels read for a more office based role.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Motivated and driven individual.
Proficient with IT including MS Office.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Able to understand construction drawings.
4Projects experience would be beneficial but not essential.
Happy to travel across the Greater Manchester area.
Duties include-
Managing the mechanical design through the RIBA Stages for up to 4 projects simultaneously.
Working office based and visiting sites for meetings.
Supporting with MEP design including statutory utilities.
Reviewing design information at the tender stage assessing quality, compliance against regulations and value engineering.
Managing the Mechanical design in line with the project brief, contract, building regulations, CSM, budget and programme.
Reviewing Energy and fire strategies.
Reviewing acoustic reports and planning conditions.
Meeting with client and consultancies.
