A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join LiNa Energy, a disruptive clean-tech battery technology company,
whose ambition is to significantly contribute to achieving global net-zero targets
As a Senior Engineer, you will directly contribute to the engineering and design of LiNa’s solid-state sodium battery cells, modules and systems, utilising first principal design techniques. The role is full-time and is based at our science facility in the centre of Lancaster.
Contribute to the engineering and development of novel battery cells, modules, systems and products, inline with the company roadmap, strategy, and product delivery schedule.
Developing CAD drawings and technical documents for tooling and components. Reviewing CAD drawings and technical documents from other members of the engineering team and focusing on accuracy taking a right first time approach.
Working individually and collaborating with the engineering team, you will produce components to specifications from cell to pack and systems including, large-scale, multi-kWh/MWh systems, toward commercial products and supporting R&D activities.
Utilize first principles and FEA techniques to simulate and model mechanical systems including battery cells and systems focusing on structural integrity, heat transfer properties, pressurization on both static and dynamic components.
Working closely with the Director of Engineering you will develop technical roadmaps and plan work packages to meet these goals. Actively managing relationships within external subcontractors and suppliers to deliver components and materials to precise specifications and to schedule and budget.
Overseeing quality control programmes and technical assurance
