The role supports Hybrid working. As a Mechanical Engineer your role will include:🔩Leading project tasks: Manage and plan projects for a team of engineers while coordinating with project management facilities.🛠️ Producing engineering solutions: Deliver high-quality engineering solutions across a wide range of topics and activities.📢 Communicating progress: Provide feedback on technical development and project delivery to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager.🌟 Mentoring: Offer technical guidance and support to team members, especially junior or graduate engineers.⏱️ Managing time: Efficiently manage your time to meet agreed deadlines, target costs, and quality standards with minimal supervision.Why Join the Community of Switchers?🌟 Over 55 years in nuclear engineering.🏆 Ranked among the top 3 largest nuclear engineering companies.💼 Attractive social benefits, including an engaging Employee Committee and holiday bonuses.📚 Ongoing training with numerous career opportunities.📈 70% of our managers are promoted internally!🏠 Hybrid work: 1-2 days remote per week.Qualifications🎓 Minimum 2:1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.🌟 Relevant senior engineering experience in sectors like offshore, renewables, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries.⚙️ Solid background in mechanical and structural engineering.🖥️ Proficient with CAD software: Skilled in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and/or Catia.📐 Strong mathematical skills: Experienced with MathCAD software.📝 Skilled in producing technical reports: Expertise in creating design and substantiation reports, assembly procedures, etc.🏭 Knowledge of manufacturing processes: Understanding of welding, machining, etc.🔄 Experienced with the engineering design cycle from Concept to Manufacture.Additional Information:📏 Familiar with European and Offshore standards: Experience with Eurocode 3 and DNV.🎓 Master's degree is a plus.🖼️ Skilled in checking and approving engineering CAD assemblies and drawings.📋 Proficient in verifying engineering documentation: Manual calculations, reports, etc.🧮 Excellent Finite Element Analysis skills: In-depth knowledge of ANSYS Workbench is desirable.📊 Experienced in non-linear and fatigue FEA: Familiar with DNV and Eurocodes.Additional InformationDue to the nature of the work, applicants must meet UK security clearance criteria.Ready to make a difference in the nuclear engineering world?
