The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the waterfront engineering systems and management of the on-site fitters.
Day-to-day, you'll support the engineering manager in leading and managing the waterfront engineering teams, ensuring tasks are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
Mechanical maintenance of mechanical engineering systems
Day-to-day management of the mechanical fitters
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Clyde's cost, time and quality requirements
Identify and generate solutions for engineering issues within the facility
Produce, review and amend planned maintenance documentation
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde.
Experience required of the Mechanical Engineer
Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering
Knowledge of risk assessments
Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer
HNC / HND in relevant engineering subject
ILM Level 3 or equivalent
Working at heights preferred
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
