Mechanical Engineer

PE Global is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for our multinational mining and construction client based in Desford. This role is an initial 12-month contract.Responsibilities of the role: Apply in-depth technical knowledge of industrial pre-treatment, electrocoat and wet and powder coating processes for problem solving and process improvementEvaluate new product suitability for the paint process from drawings and CAD models and liaise with engineers for design changes as necessaryValidate NPI process through prototype buildsMasking development and first item buy-offDesign all lifting and suspension equipment and maintain statutory inspection and testing regimeRequirements of the role: A thorough knowledge of industrial paint processes for metal substrates, manufacturing concepts and Lean principlesThe ability to influence others and lead teamsAnalytical ability as well as excellent communication skillsA degree in a Manufacturing Engineering discipline (or related).
