Mechanical Engineer

We have recently had a new opportunity become available for a Mechanical Engineer/Fitter based in Walsall. Details are as follows:

The position will be contracted to a 42 hour working week on days (7am – 4:30pm with a 1pm finish on Friday) carrying out reactive maintenance on the plant, equipment and buildings whilst also working proactively to improve the plant reliability

Requirements:

• Must have experience working in a Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter position previously.
• Experience working in a foundry, forging, steel, refractory or similar heavy engineering environment is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Welding skills would be preferred.
• Any electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.

Package:

• Pay rate of £15-£16/hour (£32,760 - £34,944)
• Permanent position.
• Role fixed on days.
• Overtime as and when required paid at time and a half.
• This position is looking to add to the team as soon as possible
