Mechanical Estimator

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for our district heating projects. This will involve analysing project requirements, leveraging your technical expertise, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of project scopes, plans, and specifications to identify all cost components


• Generate detailed estimates covering material, labour, subcontractor, and overhead costs


• Work closely with our engineering, project management, and operations teams to validate estimate assumptions


• Review and refine estimates throughout the project lifecycle to maintain accuracy


• Provide cost projections and budgetary information to support project proposals and bids


• Document estimating processes and maintain comprehensive cost data records

Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical or MEP Estimator, preferably in the construction/engineering industry


• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, energy equipment, and district heating infrastructure


• Proficiency with cost estimating software, spreadsheets, and project management tools


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities


• Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills


• Effective communication and collaboration skills to interface with cross-functional teams


• Relevant degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
