Mechanical Estimator Building Services Watford £60,000£70,000 per annum
Overview of the Role:
Salary: £60,000£70,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
Type: Full-time, permanent
Location: Watford (hybrid working split between home and office)

With a strong reputation for innovation, reliability, and excellence, we're continuing to grow and were now on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical systems including HVAC and plumbing.
Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and relevant documents to ensure precise costings
Preparing and submitting tenders in line with client requirements and deadlines
Sourcing and assessing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Working closely with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with technical requirements
Carrying out risk assessments and identifying value engineering options
Keeping up to date with current market rates, material costs, and labour trends
Maintaining clear and organised records of all estimating activities
What Were Looking For:
A minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical estimating within the construction or building services industry
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office programmes
Clear and confident communicator both written and verbal
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related subject is preferred, but not essential
