Mechanical Fitter Chargehand (Dayshift)

Mechanical Fitter Chargehand required to lead small mechanical team for a growing engineering company based in the central belt. Involves maintenance of plant equipment and experience in a heavy engineering environment will be required. This role is a dayshift role with an early finish on a Friday!! Commutable from West Lothian, Glasgow, Falkirk areas.

The Role:

• Fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown or planned situations
• Routine and planned maintenance
• Modification and improvement of machinery and the plant
• Lead a team of 4 engineers

The Candidate:

• Experience working within heavy engineering will be advantageous
• Experience leading a team in engineering environment
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually on their own initiative as required
• Engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in a Mechanical discipline will be needed as will welding and fabrication skills
