Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of mechanical and electrical plant and vehicles, including cars, HGVs, forklift trucks, and powered access platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a wide range of mechanical and electrical plant and vehicles.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.


• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.


• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the service manager and clients.


• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role, with expertise in maintaining and repairing cars, HGVs, forklift trucks, and powered access platforms.


• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostic skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable.


• NVQ Level 3
