Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of mechanical and electrical plant and vehicles, including cars, HGVs, forklift trucks, and powered access platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a wide range of mechanical and electrical plant and vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the service manager and clients.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role, with expertise in maintaining and repairing cars, HGVs, forklift trucks, and powered access platforms.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable.
- NVQ Level 3
