**Job Title**: Mechanical Fitter

We are a leading engineering firm specializing in renewables projects and energy centre installations / retrofits. We are expanding our team in Glasgow and seeking 2 experienced Mechanical Fitters with expertise in pipe fitting and the installation of large industrial components.



**Job Summary**:

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems, buffer tanks, vessels, and other mechanical components within our renewable energy and energy centre projects. You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals to ensure all mechanical systems meet our stringent quality standards and client expectations.



**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and other technical drawings.

- Measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling new pipe systems, including high and low-pressure pipe systems.

- Installing and removing vessels, buffer tanks, and related equipment.

- Inspecting and replacing damaged or worn parts.

- Conducting routine maintenance on piping systems and mechanical components.

- Working with a variety of tools and machinery to perform installations and repairs.

- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

- Communicating with project managers and clients to discuss project details and progress.

- Collaborating with other team members to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.



**Qualifications**:

- Proven work experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role in the renewables sector or related industries.

- Proficiency in working with various hand and power tools.

- Knowledgeable about industrial and construction safety standards.

- Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints and schematics.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.



**Education & Certifications**:

- Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in mechanical fitting, pipefitting, or a related field is required.

- Certification in mechanical engineering or pipefitting is a plus.
