My client based in Stonehouse is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their team due to expansion.



Summary:



The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for the assembly of Blowers to the required specifications, standards and expectations of the client.



For this role you will need to have experience and knowledge of working with different materials of construction (mild/carbo/stainless/aluminium/nonferrous).  You will also need understanding and experience in the specifications, standards and expectations of supplying equipment within the petrochemical industry.   A Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent experience is desirable.



The main duties of the role are:




  • Assembly of mechanical fabrications using basic hand, electric and pneumatic tools.

  • The building of blower units to specification and approved drawings.

  • Preparation of components for shot blasting and paint.

  • Assembly and complete hydro testing of blowers and components.

  • Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable them to quickly establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • The candidate will be self-motivated with a desire to set high standards of work performance, be innovative and open to new ideas.

Working Hours




  • 38 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday – 07.30 to 16.00

  • [30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day]

  • Friday – 07.30 to 13.30
