Mechanical Fitter

Our client based in Coventry are currently recruiting for Mechanical fitter. This is a permanent role working within their workshop.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you must have a strong background within the building and assembling of special purpose machinery. You must be able to read and understand engineering drawings & schematics. Previous experience of mechanical build, building of sub-assemblies is essential for this role.

A large chunk of the job will be modifying machine tools.

Essential Requirements:

• Building & assembling special purpose machinery, machine tools


• Mechanical Sub-assembly


• Precision fitting & general assembly


• Cutting metal, marking, drilling & tapping


• Manual machining


• Ability to work to tight very tight tolerances


• Knowledge of robotics & automation will be an added advantage l


• Must be able to read engineering drawings and schematics


• Previous experience of system build

Days - 39 hr week

Mon - Thurs (7:30am - 4:30pm) Friday (7:30am - 12:30pm)
