Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is currently seeking a number of skilled Mechanical Fitters for a 6-month contract. This role is crucial for maintaining and improving water infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and reliability within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment
• Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical components
• Collaborating with site engineers and other stakeholders to achieve project goals
• Adhering to safety regulations and site protocols
• Documenting maintenance activities and reporting any issues to the project manager
• Assisting in the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of mechanical equipment on site
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition

Job Requirements:

• Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in a site-based role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems within the water sector
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proficiency in using various tools and machinery relevant to the role
• Understanding of health and safety protocols and the importance of compliance
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• CSCS Card
• Own Tools / PPE
