Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Operative to join our client’s expanding business in Oxfordshire. The role will require flexible working hours and business travel throughout the UK. This is a challenging and varied role and offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity for career development within an expanding and successful business.  There is no requirement for a mechanical qualification just a good attitude as full training will be given.

Our client are a water engineering and drilling specialist, with over 95 years in the water engineering industry and specialising in water wells, geothermal drilling, and water supply boreholes.  The services that they offer include consultancy, feasibility, geographical surveys, drilling and construction of water supply boreholes, geothermal ground source heating, test and measurement, distribution pipelines, water storage tanks and supply and installation of pumps and switchgear.  These services are provided 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year worldwide.  They are a successful, growing company that is looking for talented employees who want to work in an environment that is challenging and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:


  • You will be responsible for installing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical apparatus and associated ancillary equipment.
  • The installation and maintenance of water related pumping plant, pipework and associated control equipment and including a variety of aspects associated within the water industry.

Skills & Experience:
Essential:


  • You will have a keen interest in Mechanical Installation and Maintenance preferably with a recognised mechanical qualification.
  • You will be an extremely self-motivated individual, with a willingness to learn.
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative and work as part of a team.
  • A full driving clean license.
  • Willingness to work away from home

Desirable:


  • Ideally have experience of rotating plant within the water or associated industries.
  • Previous experience working on pumping plant infrastructure, split case pumps, vertical turbine pumps would be an advantage but not essential as all training will be provided.
