Mechanical Pre-Contracts Manager - Senior Mechanical Services Design EngineerLondon, SE1 - On SiteSalary £65k to £85k dept on experience + benefits include Commission paid on projects that hit target marginChristmas Shut Down (usually 7 to 10 days to combine the holidays)Covered travel within zones 1&2Cycle SchemePrivate Telephone GPSummer company party (last 2 years was in Ibiza)Contractor / Building Services Design / MEP / Mechanical Services Design Engineer / Mechanical Design / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Pre-Contracts Manager This role to join an established contractor reports to the mechanical services director and is responsible for junior and intermediate mechanical services engineers.Whilst this role is ultimately for a mechanical pre contracts manager, it could also be fulfilled by an experienced senior mechanical design engineer as plenty of support is available to enable progression into the mechanical pre contracts manager role. ResponsibilitiesUndertake initial design and capture / create the scope of the project.Produce designs within the budget and timescales of the project.Production of detailed tender bids.Attending mid and post tender meetings and post tender control.You will be expected to interface with both our existing and prospective new clients.This position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met until the project is handed over to Construction.Working in an integrated M&E team.Undertake site surveys.Organize mechanical and public health services validations. Review junior members of the estimating team’s work and help them develop.Work closely with the procurement department and provide them with technical support where required.Provide support to the Construction department when relevant queries arise.Skills and Experience RequiredExperience in producing mechanical and public health services designs.Excellent communication skills.5 years experience in Mechanical and PH services design.Building Services or Mechanical Service Degree.Able to prioritise when dealing with multiple tasks.Pro-active and approachable, lead by example
