Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to join our clients' team for a new build energy centre project in Knutsford. This exciting two-year project will commence in September 2024 and presents an exceptional opportunity for a professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage mechanical engineering activities for the new build energy centre project.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met within budget and on schedule.

Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to facilitate seamless communication and project execution.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols.

Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and project updates to senior management.

Identify and mitigate potential project risks and implement contingency plans as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience in managing large-scale mechanical engineering projects, ideally within the energy or plant room sectors.

Previous experience working with Tier 1 construction companies is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, installation, and commissioning.

Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
