Mechanical Project Manager

Position: Mechanical Project Manager

They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in Education, Healthcare, MOD, MOJ and Defence Sectors. Project will be based in North Yorkshire area.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Manager for all aspects of Mechanical Installations and delivery of the Project

• Estimating experience


• Procurement


• Subcontractor Management of Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, Electrical, BMS Control, Medical Gases, Fire Detection Systems, Chilled Water and Air Conditioning to Commissioning Stage


• Undertake Site Surveys


• D&B collaboration with Mechanical Design Consultants and Architects establishing Client’s requirements


• Health & Safety


• CDM Regulations


• Attend meetings with Clients and Consultants pre-tender and post tender


• Attend Departmental Management Meetings


• Issue Mechanical Installation progress reports


• Allocate labour to Projects


• Drawing Take offs


• Stock Control and Hiring of equipment


• Issue RAMS


• Monitor Installation for compliance with specifications


• Compile O&M info within data base files


• Responsible for direct Labour


• Monitoring of Gas Safe Compliance


• Coordination of M&E Services cross referencing Architectural drawings

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.


• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership qualities.


• Previous experience in UK construction market is essential


• Relevant mechanical qualifications and a background in construction.
