Our client has a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple expansive projects across various locations in the UK and Europe. They have established themselves as one of the fastest growing M&E construction firms in the mission critical sector. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to take on large scale M&E design and build projects in Derby.



As the ideal candidate, you will be entrusted with overseeing all on-site aspects, ensuring the successful realisation of project objectives. Reporting to the Project Director, and in collaboration with the Contracts Management team, you will engage in daily interactions with Suppliers, Site Coordinators, Project Managers, EHSQ representatives, and subcontractors.



We are looking for candidates that have demonstrable experience in logistics, fulfillment centres, smart buildings or similar projects.



What You'll Be Doing:




  • Attending project start-up meetings and overseeing all mechanical aspects to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.

  • Acquainting yourself thoroughly with all project details and specifications.

  • Compiling technical submittals, ensuring they are submitted and tracked until approved.

  • Managing the labor tracker efficiently.

  • Preparing and maintaining weekly progress reports, addressing and managing any changes or variations.

  • Coordinating with main contractors and the client-based site team.

  • Supervising the coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment.

  • Ensuring that adequate materials are always available to complete the project.

  • Implementing and overseeing construction and commissioning programs for the project.

  • Managing the handover process and maintaining the Document Management System.

  • Developing project-specific schedules.

  • Attending meetings with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.

  • Participating in general site meetings and addressing any action points raised.

  • Communicating any innovative, project-specific work to the Contracts Manager (R&D).



What You'll Need for the Role:




  • Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or in a similar role.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.

  • A qualification in Construction or Project Management is preferred.

  • Experience in supervising teams.
