1. **Inspection & Testing** �



� �- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components (e.g., pipes, valves, pumps, structural parts). �



� �- Conduct **Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)** methods like **Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT)**. �



� �- Verify material certifications (e.g., EN (phone number removed).1/3.2) and compliance with **BS, EN, ISO, ASME, or API standards**. �





2. **Documentation & Compliance** �



� �- Maintain **Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)** and **Quality Control Plans (QCPs)**. �



� �- Ensure compliance with **UKCA/CE marking**, **Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER)**, **PED (Pressure Equipment Directive)**, and other regulatory requirements. �



� �- Prepare **Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)**, **Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)**, and **Welder Qualification Tests (WQT)**. �





3. **Welding & Fabrication QC** �



� �- Monitor welding processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, Stick, Submerged Arc Welding). �



� �- Check weld integrity, alignment, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT). �



� �- Verify **Welding Inspection Records (WIRs)** and **Welding Data Sheets (WDS)**. �





4. **Supplier & Vendor Quality Assurance** �



� �- Conduct **Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)** and **Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)**. �



� �- Review supplier documentation (Material Test Certificates, Mill Certificates). �



� �- Perform **source inspections** at vendor facilities. �





5. **Defect Management & Corrective Actions** �



� �- Identify non-conformities (NCRs) and raise **Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)**. �



� �- Work with production teams to implement **Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)**. �



� �- Ensure rework/rejection of defective parts. �





6. **Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance** �



� �- Follow **COSHH, LOLER, PUWER** regulations in the UK. �



� �- Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment. �





7. **Audits & Continuous Improvement** �



� �- Conduct internal/external quality audits (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001). �



� �- Implement Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma principles for process improvement. �





### **Required Qualifications & Skills** �



- **Certifications**: �



� - **CSWIP (Certified Welding Inspector) / PCN Level 2 (NDT)** (for welding/NDT roles). �



� - **ISO 9001 Lead Auditor** (for QA roles). �



� - **Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering** or relevant apprenticeship. �



- **Experience**: �



� - Knowledge of **CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)** and **CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)**. �



� - Familiarity with **Quality Management Systems (QMS)**. �



- **Soft Skills**: �



� - Attention to detail, problem-solving, report writing, and communication. �
