Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Duration: 2 Years

Start Date: February 2025 

Position Overview: I am working on behalf of a M&E contractor looking for an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Supervisor ideally from a building services background to oversee the mechanical systems installation for a student accommodation project. This is a 2-year contract role in the centre of Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems.


• Ensure that all mechanical works comply with the project specifications, local codes, and health and safety regulations.


• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and address any potential issues.


• Coordinate with the project manager, engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth project progress and timely delivery.


• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on work progress, risks, and issues.


• Provide technical support and guidance to the team and contractors on-site.


• Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and assist with client and site meetings.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in building services. 


• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building services.


• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


• SSSTS Trained 


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
