Mechanical Supervisor

Job Description

Due to the companies continued growth the and on the back of multiple contract wins, MSH Mechanical Services is looking for a mechanical supervisor to undertake a variety of supervisory and plumbing tasks on new a build apartment project in Manchester.

This role would suit either a experienced mechanical supervisor or an ambitious SSSTS plumber looking at moving up.

This role is predominantly a non working role although there may be days when assistance is needed from the supervisor, i.e with pressure testing domestics and AGD etc.

The works include as a supervisor carrying out the below.

• Work closely with the project manager, reporting any issues promptly.


• Day to day mechanical supervisory role of 6-10�operatives, overseeing the installation of AGD, Crimped copper mains, 1st fix MLPC pipework, 2nd Sanitary etc.�


• Attending daily pre start briefs.


• Attend weekly progress meetings


• Ensure H&S compliance i.e weekly checks on access and plant and ensuring the team is working within the H&S guildlines


• Weekly apartment sign off process including Q&A to ensure the works are delivered within the project specifcation & industry standards


• Test and inspection sign offs


• Taking collection of deliveries and checking materials in and assisting with the take off process.�

The initial project duration will be 12-14�months, with the chance of follow on works for the right candidate.

Hourly Rate - �24.50ph (�50,300pa) depending on experience, paid on either a PAYE or CIS basis.

Qualifications

• CSCS card


• SSSTS


• Good communication skills


• IT literate (word, excel etc)


• 1+ years in an supervisory role


• 5+ years commercial experience as a plumber


• Should be able to read and understand drawings


• Should be able to work independently


• Attention to detail is a must as this is a high spec'd project.

Schedule:

• Monday -Thursday 7.30am - 16.30pm (8.5hrs)


• Friday - 7.30am - 13.30pm (5.5Hrs)


• Total 39.5 hrs per week.


• Hours negotiable.


• Overtime available.

Job Type: Full-time

�24.50 per hour equal to �50,300pa
