Mechanical Technician – Kirkbymoorside
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Mechanical Technicians to join a world-leading company at the forefront of their sector. Based in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, this role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technologies

The successful candidates will play a key role in assembling mechanical and hydraulic components, ensuring high-quality is maintained throughout production. This position involves:
    \n
  • Mechanical assembly of all products.
    \n
  • \n
  • Load testing of all assembled products .
    \n
  • \n
  • Manufacturing and testing hydraulic hoses and pipework.
    \n
  • \n
  • Assembly, proof pressure, setup, and function testing of a wide range of subassemblies and tooling.
    \n
  • \n
  • Collaborating with other departments to meet project deadlines.
    \n
  • \n
  • Completing necessary documentation (quality requirements, timesheets, NCRs, ECNs, etc.).
    \n
  • \n
  • Performing workshop maintenance and ensuring high safety and housekeeping standards.
    \n
  • \n
What’s Required?
    \n
  • Strong mechanical assembly skills, ideally suited to candidates with an automotive mechanic background.
    \n
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    \n
  • \n
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
    \n
  • \n
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
    \n
  • \n
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
    \n
  • \n
  • Willingness to learn through in-house training.
    \n
  • \n
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
    \n
  • Apprenticeship-trained in a mechanical discipline.
    \n
  • \n
  • 2–3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience.
    \n
  • \n
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
    \n
  • \n

Benefits:

  • 37 hours per week – 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am to 4pm Friday (flexi-time available).
