Based in London, this is the chance to advance a career in advertising sales and partnerships at one of the world’s most prestigious art magazines.About the job:As part of the Apollo commercial team, the Media Sales and Partnerships Manager will be responsible for selling advertising into the magazine and our digital platforms, managing our art fair and media partnerships and being an ambassador for Apollo at industry events.This is a varied role and would ideally suit someone who is interested in the international art scene and who will thrive on building connections and relationships that deliver revenue for the company. This role will require some international travel. Languages are useful but not obligatory.Key Responsibilities:Advertising SalesSell print and digital advertising to existing and new clients, working closely with our Advertising Director to drive revenue across all channelsResearch and identify opportunities for securing new business for ApolloPrepare effective proposals and presentations and actively follow up leadsCreate and manage a new business pipelineProvide excellent client management and after-sales service Regularly visit both existing and potential gallery clients Build mutually rewarding relationships with your client base keeping abreast of the latest news and relevant market informationStay abreast of competitor titles and the latest in advertising trendsPartnerships:Manage Apollo fair/media partnerships from initial contact through to the implementation of agreementsProvide post-event reporting as requiredDevelop a strategy to improve partnership performanceOccasionally represent Apollo on the booths we take at major art fairsKey Skills and Knowledge:Experience of selling advertising to an art world client base/or similar for print and onlineStrong and detailed knowledge of the art worldGood understanding of the cultural media landscapeA persuasive communicator with excellent relationship-building skills; comfortable with cold calling and/or visiting new prospects in person A tenacious approach to new business and a commitment to providing excellent client managementStrong attention to detail; understands the importance of delivering outstanding work within agreed deadlines and against targetsSelf-motivated and organised; comfortable dealing with a varied workload and delivering projects as part of a cross-functional teamAn ability to speak clearly about the advantages Apollo can offer clientsTeam player – willing to support the team where necessary as well as happy to work independentlyTo apply: Please email your current CV to #####, together with a cover letter outlining some thoughts on what you could bring to the role.
