LHH is delighted to be partnered with 1st Class Credit Union to deliver this key appointment, Membership and Marketing Lead.

1st Class Credit Union, formed in 1992, was originally set up to serve employees of The Royal Mail Group in Glasgow and over the years has expanded their membership-base covering the whole of the UK and Northern Ireland. 1st Class Credit Union are a not-for-profit financial co-operative, owned and run by their members and they serve their members by providing a safe and secure place to save their hard-earned money.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Membership and Marketing Lead will be responsible for shaping and delivering 1st Class Credit Union's marketing effort, including but not limited to: website updating, creating content for print and social media, and arranging publication, distribution, and display of publicity. The role will involve arranging external events and marketing stands or participating in events organised by partner organisations, to reach the wider public. You will be engaging with various stakeholders to establish payroll partner opportunities and success in the post will be measured by the hard figures of net growth in membership and growth in loan demand.

We are seeking a motivated self-starter, who has relevant experience in a sales or marketing role and with reasonable familiarity with major social media. You will be willing to work on your own initiative and quickly understand the ethos that 1st Class Credit Union provides. You will have a good working knowledge of Word and Excel. Familiarity with other Microsoft packages such as PowerPoint and Publisher, as well as experience with web or print design would be an advantage.
