Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Central London Contract Type: PermanentMy client, delivers M&E engineering solutions across Rail, Highways, Power, and TunnelsBenefits:Competitive salary with annual appraisalsTravel expenses for locations outside your contracted area, private Medical Insurance, pension scheme, 25 days holidayOpportunities for progressionCollaborative and innovative work environmentWhat We Are Looking For:Essential:Demonstrable use and understanding of standard forms of contract.Proficient knowledge of MS Office packages including Excel, Project, and Word.Working understanding of valuation techniques for construction works, including elemental cost analysis of labor, materials, plant, sub-contract, and general expensesAbility to perform programme analysis and measurement of Earned ValueCompetent in using accounting concepts and forecasting cost and value based on programme and scope of worksFamiliarity with tools for managing project and business costs, including cost-saving techniquesDesired:Detailed knowledge of NEC contracts.Knowledge of JCT contracts.Desired qualifications:Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalentProfessional memberships such as RICS, CIOB, ICES, or equivalentValid CSCS cardFull UK driver's licenseKey Responsibilities:Support Project Managers to ensure projects meet commercial and financial targetsBuild strong, collaborative relationships with client and supplier counterparts.Contribute to regular, accurate reporting to the Commercial Manager on PHR, CVR, Cash Flow, and Weekly UpdatesResponsible for the project budget and regular commercial forecastsConduct valuations for initial, interim, and final payment applicationsManage sub-contractor and supplier accounts in line with agreed subcontracts and upstream contractual requirementsIdentify, notify, value, and agree on changes (variations, compensation events, claims)Work with the Commercial Manager to maximise the recovery of all contractual entitlementsEnsure project adherence to contract terms and conditions, particularly regarding notice times and applicationsMaintain contemporary records for supporting claims, extensions of time, and the evaluation of variationsSupport tender processes as neededPromote and maintain professional working relationshipsIdentify project risks and develop strategies to minimise commercial impactIf this is of interest please apply below!Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
