Steer Automotive Group is renowned for providing top-tier automotive repair services, and as we continue to expand, we're excited to welcome an experienced MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician to our state-of-the-art bodyshop in Maidstone.
About the Role:
As an MET Technician, you will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a wide range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality repairs, enabling our customers to get back on the road quickly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment.
* Dismantle vehicles in preparation for panel work.
* Conduct thorough inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostics.
* Manage replacement part orders and inventories.
* Reassemble vehicles with new components to restore them to pre-accident condition.
* Ensure all repairs meet the highest quality and safety standards.
* Communicate effectively with the team on repair progress and timelines.
About You:
You’re a skilled MET Technician with significant experience in accident repair, able to work to high standards under pressure while maintaining a strong commitment to delivering outstanding results.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as an MET Technician, including expertise in electric and hybrid vehicle repair.
* Skilled in ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, mechanical repairs, and diagnostic tools.
* Ability to manage workloads efficiently and meet deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to adhering to manufacturer specifications.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A flexible, customer-focused approach with a dedication to health and safety standards.
