The starting salary is £37,160, which includes a 12.5% shift disturbance allowance, and allowances totalling £2,841.

The salary is broken down as £30,507 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £32,639. Plus, a location allowance of £1,841, a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000, and a 12.5% shift disturbance allowance.

As a Performance & Assurance Team Member, you’ll make your contribution by ensuring Met Command & Control (MetCC) staff comply with policies and highlighting areas where they need to learn. Data-focused and analytical, you’ll be part of our expanding Performance & Assurance Team. Your remit? Helping to review and audit our Met Command & Control (MetCC) demand closures to ensure they’re in line with National Crime Recording standards and Home Office rules.

MetCC provides London with its police response service, handling some 13,000 emergency and non-emergency phone calls and 12,000 interactions via our digital platforms 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. With 2,000 people split between three sites in London, MetCC is the largest police Command & Control centre in the UK.

Day to day, you’ll audit a wide range of demand MetCC data to ensure compliance with MPS and national policies. You will also complete safeguarding checks on Right Care Right Person demands, Domestic Incidents, Children at Risk and Vulnerability demands.

To carry out this range of checks you need a good understanding of data and a sense of discretion. Information may be confidential, so you need high standards of integrity. We’re also looking for the ability to take responsibility and work well with colleagues in other departments. However, you must be ready to challenge as well as collaborate.

The Role

Met Command & Control (MetCC) provides London with its police response service, handling some 13,000 emergency and non-emergency phone calls and 12,000 interactions via our digital platforms 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Specialist police communications support is also provided for some 500 large-scale public events that take place across the capital each year.

Naturally this means we have a fast-paced dynamic environment, where no two days will be the same; and with a workforce of almost 2000 people split between three geographical sites in London we are the largest police Command & Control centre in the UK.

We are looking for data-focused individuals to join our expanding Performance & Assurance Team. You will be responsible for helping review and audit our command-and-control demand closures to ensure they are in line with National Crime Recording Standards & Home Office Counting Rules. As part of the Performance and Assurance Team, you are responsible for auditing a wide range of demand data to ensure compliance in-line with Metropolitan Police Service and National Policies. You will also complete safeguarding checks on Right Care Right Person demands, Domestic Incidents, Children at risk & Vulnerability demands.

This role requires a blend of being able understand data, work with other departments across the organisation and uphold high standards of confidentiality and discretion.
