MFL Teacher

justteachers is working with a well-respected Secondary School in Leeds who are seeking to appoint a talented and dedicated French and Spanish Teacher. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching to the highest standard, committed to maintaining a positive learning environment and willing to develop their practice in the school. This is a full time role to start after Easter which is expected to last until the end of the academic year.
The role:
Deliver lessons relevant to the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
Be responsible for the preparation and development of teaching materials, teaching programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate
Be aware of pupils capabilities, their prior knowledge and plan teaching and differentiate appropriately to build on these, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn
Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly
Requirements: Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
Have successful teaching experience at secondary level (can be teaching practice),
Understand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning
Understand the importance of high expectations and equality of access for all students, and of being a tutor
Have knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students' work
