Position: Microbiologist Sector: Professional services Location: Bournville Position Type: ContractInside / Outside IR35: Inside IR35Salary: £16.03-20.84 an hour
Onsite About the company Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their high profile client in the Food industry who are currently looking to recruit a Microbiologist to work at their busy site in Bournville and to join their expanding team on a 6 month contract. Job Description As a Microbiologist, your main responsibilities are:Carry out routine microbiological analysis of raw materials, WIP, and finished product to the agreed specifications and sampling rates.Carry out duties with the highest regard for Health & Safety and contribute to the overall H&S culture within BV QA laboratory.Implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Sampling Programme (to include sampling and data analysis)Basic maintenance of laboratory equipmentPreparation of samples for analysis and the associated testing matrices (eg media preparation).Qualifications / Skills neededEducated to degree level or HND/HNC level in a microbiology related field.Practical experience within a microbiology lab environment.Practical knowledge of microbiological test methods and apparatus with a demonstrated ability to use your knowledge to positively affect laboratory activities.Auditing knowledge preferred.A good understanding of GLP principles.Why work through Contech's?
